22 Weeks

Yesterday Suzanne and her little sister Angela went to the doctor's appointment. After the cervical ultrasound, Suzanne found out that her cervix is measuring at approximately 3cm which is kind of sort of ok. The other issue is that there is slight funneling in her cervix. This could mean that she has an incompetent cervix which also could've lead to Ian's premature birth. There are many things that can be done to prevent this and to prolong the birth process. Our doctor didn't seem to be too worried about this which is leading us to be very hopeful. Nothing will change overnight, so we will see what happens at her next appointment on Friday 11/4. Keep your fingers crossed and the prayers coming so that this little one will stay put. I have taken it upon myself to ground this little boy/girl for the next 10 weeks at least. Depending on how he/she behaves, we will re-evaluate then.
