8 Months Old

I can’t hardly believe it myself, but McKenna is 8 months old today. It really seems that time is a big blur these days. Last Friday, McKenna had an eye checkup which went fine. There were some changes, but nothing that the doctor seemed to be too alarmed about. Last night I stepped on the scale with her and it read 14.5 lbs for her. Recently when we’ve done that before a doctors visit, it’s been about 1 lb off, so I’m guessing she’s somewhere over 13. We’ve been giving her cereal a couple times every day and I think she showed us last night that she wants more of it. She had 2 bowls and did very well for me. She opened up her mouth just like she should, gobbled it up and down the hatch. So, as Grandma Felton would say, “she’s growing like a weed.” She is also really learning how to grab things and play with her toys. For the most part, she usually knows what she wants and how to get it but really is a good baby.

We have been pretty busy lately leaving home almost every weekend which we are not used to yet. But thankfully we have a pretty good little traveler. Hopefully that keeps up since almost every weekend from now until the winter of 2035 is booked. I would really like to thank Bob & Amber for their hospitality on Friday night last weekend and also Ryan and Cari. We had such a good time this weekend as it was very nice to get out of Cedar Rapids. I have added some new pictures.
